I am starting to form a hydrogel from Polyethylene Glycol 3350. I supplied the PEG from walmart that is brand Equate ClearLax as it is 100% PEG 3350 which should be good for hydrogel formation.
mixed around 5g with 20ml of water and formed a hydrogel under the sun. It dissolved in water after formation so may not be a hydrogel at all and may need to use a amine or a hydrazine for polymerization.
Will try to form another hydrogel with acrylic acid and under the UV light to attempt photopolymerization as it provides a better amorphous gel from PEG as per references. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3055273/
